Nojorono Collaborating with LazizNu to Support Central Java Provincial Government's RSLH Program in Kebumen

Jakarta, February 5, 2025 - A Simple Livable House (RSLH) is not just a shelter, but the main foundation for the fulfillment of a quality life.  Not only about comfort, RSLH improves the health quality standards of its residents. Unfortunately, some areas in Central Java, especially Kebumen, still face economic and infrastructure challenges. The relatively high poverty rate, especially in rural areas, makes the need for RSLH an important issue that needs attention.

Responding to the challenges of housing quality in Kebumen, Nojorono, together with NU Care - Lazisnu Central Java and the Central Java Provincial Government, built 10 houses in Pengempon Village, Sruweng District and Kalisana Village, Karangsambung District, Kebumen Regency, Central Java. This collaborative program is an answer to improving the quality of life standards of the community, in line with efforts to alleviate poverty and social development in the area.

The key handover ceremony was held at Pengempon Village Hall on January 31, and was attended by representatives of Nojorono, Lazisnu, and the Central Java Provincial Government. “I am very grateful to Nojorono, Lazisnu, and the donors for helping me and my family so that I can have my own house. Hopefully what is given to us can be turned around to the donors to be more successful and always healthy.” said Siti Fadilah, one of the beneficiaries of the RSLH program. 

“On behalf of Lazisnu, I would like to thank Nojorono for collaborating with us for this house renovation program. We hope that the collaboration between Lazisnu and Nojorono can continue, to continue helping those in need, especially people in the Central Java area.” added Muhammad Mahsun as Chairman of NU Care Lazisnu Central Java. 

“These ten simple livable houses are a tangible manifestation of Nojorono's participation in the community. It is hoped that through RSLH, beneficiaries can realize a healthier lifestyle. Nojorono's steps do not stop here, we will continue our mission to continue to be able to help others.” concluded Arief Goenadibrata as Director of Nojorono.
